Working with the U.S. Commercial Service to promote exports through business counseling, education, and community outreach. The Missouri District Export Council (MODEC) is an organization of business leaders from Missouri and Southern Illinois communities, appointed by the Secretary of Commerce, whose knowledge of and expertise in international business provide a source of professional advice for their regions' local firms. Closely affiliated with the U.S. Commerce Department’s Export Assistance Center, MODEC supports the U.S. Government’s export promotion efforts.
