Oilseeds research and Development Company was established since 1966 in order to make a suitable relation between farmers and factories as the main parts of oilseed production chain. This company started its work by the investment of registered crushing and refining factories and by attendance of spectator of Honorable Minister of Agriculture has a special role for retaining oilseeds crops in agriculture production cycle of the country. The main goals for establishing ORDC are: 1-special effort in order to increase production area and total oilseed crops by the aim of making the country self sufficient and making limitation for importing crude oil by following activities: A-Cooperation and investment in related companies B-All direct or indirect activities related with oilseeds production c- Technical & financial cooperation with farmers, organizations and all interested persons on oilseed crops and also basic activities for agricultural needs –seed production-pesticides,… d:Research projects in different aspects of oilseeds individually or by partnership of other local or international organizations e:Importing different varieties of oilseeds –chemicals-fertilizers ,….. in order to help farmers f: Seed production by breeding new varieties and also multiplication of seeds that was introduced by governmental research stations
