Project CRISS is a professional development provider for K-12 educators. We also provide teacher support materials and a student curriculum that guides students to self-directed learning. For over 25 years, we have helped teachers work smarter. Incorporating best practice research in reading comprehension, brain compatible learning, differentiated instruction, etc., CRISS focuses on metacognitive use of highly effective learning strategies couched within thoughtful lesson planning. Started by teachers, for teachers, in Kalispell, Montana, CRISS is practical and effective at improving student achievement. Recognized in 2002, 2004, and 2010 by the U.S. Department of Education's IES What Works Clearinghouse, CRISS provides educators with a common language and toolbox of strategies across grade levels and content area disciplines.
