Michael R. Norton BDS FDS RCS(Ed) (GDC 63248) is a specialist in the truest sense of the word, with a career, reputation, and practice dedicated to implant reconstructive dentistry for over 25 years. For over 25 years Michael has led the way for implant dentistry in the UK becoming one of the world's most respected and renowned implant surgeons. His considerable portfolio of research has been groundbreaking and he is one of the most sought after lecturer's in his field. Since 1989 Michael has dedicated all his clinical and postgraduate time to the practice and study of implant reconstructive dentistry. In 2007 in recognition of his expertise in the field of implant dentistry, Michael was given the prestigious honour of being made a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, without examination. Such an award is bestowed upon only the very few and only in recognition of a significant contribution to their chosen field. Michael is a Fellow and Past President of the prestigious Academy of Osseointegration and was the first non-American president in its history. Michael is also a Past President of the Association of Dental Implantology (UK) and in 2011 was made an Honorary Life Member for his services and dedication to this Association. In 2013 Michael was made Adjunct Clinical Professor to the Department of Periodontology at the School of Dental Medicine at the Ivy League University of Pennsylvania.
