Founded in 1996, Applied Weather Associates (AWA) is a meteorological consulting firm that specializes in Probable Maximum Precipitation, Hurricane, Storm Surge, and Windstorm studies, as well as storm analysis, forensic meteorology, hydrological model calibration/validation, and weather modification. The mission of AWA is to advance the understanding, knowledge and application of weather events and their affects on infrastructure and lives. Headquartered in Monument, Colorado, AWA is an innovative company that identifies and incorporates new technologies and meteorological data to provide unique and consistently reliable products to our clients. We have completed more than 30 PMP studies and more than 200 storm analysis using our Storm Precipitation Analysis System (SPAS) for various client and regulators.
