www.camo.orgLaunched in 1993 by former Peace Corps nurse, Kathryn M. Tschiegg, RN, BBA, CAMO is a non-denominational Christian based humanitarian organization that brings life-saving medical services, education and community development to Central America. CAMO provides more than 140,000 life-saving services each year to impoverished people who otherwise would not have access to aid. CAMO takes in annually over $2 million in donations of medical equipment and supplies. We use volunteers to process the donations - sending them to Central America for use. CAMO has 18 active programs utilizing volunteers and staff. CAMO works in 4 primary areas to serve, Medical Services, Training and Education and Community Development. CAMO uses volunteers both in Central America and in the USA to create and sustain life-saving and life-changing programs. Sustainability is requirement for all that we do. CAMO is a unique organization in that we use a counterpart system to empower the people that we serve. CAMO truly brings HOPE to the Forgotten. People who can't even imagine a world with the very basic things we take for granted, running water, electricity and food. Be a part of our mission - be a part of something bigger than you!
