New research shows small gestures matter even more than we may think. The Chris Kindness Award was established to inspire you to be on the lookout for kindness, to train your brain to focus less on all that's wrong in your community and more on the kind gestures, large and small, that make your day a little brighter. You can recognize a kind person by nominating them for the Chris Kindness Award, where each month we award someone $1000 to recognize their kind act. Sound sappy? Well, as soon as we launched this initiative in Berkeley, CA, the response was huge and not just in our town.
