A Day for Democracy

www.adayfordemocracy.com

A Day for Democracy is a NON-partisan initiative founded by CEOs to encourage employers across the U.S. to take a pledge to help increase voter participation. In taking the pledge, these leaders are committing to take action to give employees time off to vote, and/or to help workers register and access their right to vote – in local, state and national elections – on their terms, whether at polling locations or from the safety of their own home. To make it easier for our pledge participants to support their employees in the voting process, we teamed up with TurboVote, a leading online service that aims to help individuals vote in every election. Our participants can work with our partner, or another responsible online voting platform, so that their employees can receive support in the entire voting process – from registration and reminders about upcoming elections to locating polling stations or facilitating voting by mail. In 2012, 55 percent of Americans voted. In 2016, 56 percent of Americans voted. Together, let’s get the vote much higher in 2020. To learn more, and to join CEOs across the U.S. in taking this pledge, visit www.aDayforDemocracy.com
