Pain Alliance Europe (PAE) is a non-for-profit umbrella organization of 40 national and regional associations which are all committed to improving the quality of life of people with chronic pain. Chronic pain has a devastating impact on those who are suffering. Not only do they have a medical condition to contend with, but the social and economical impact on the sufferers and on society is enormous. For PAE, quality of life for a chronic pain patient means giving the patient the right to choose the best possible solutions and support to live his life according to his possibilities and wishes. We aim to promote awareness for chronic pain, to promote a European policy on chronic pain and to reduce the impact of chronic pain on the European society on all areas.
