A Posteriori, from the Latin phrase "from the latter", is a philosophical term used to describe knowledge one can only gain from experiential learning - the uncovering of empirical evidence, a honed craft, or a nugget of technical know-how gained through experimentation. At A Posteriori, we utilize tools from the constructionist pedagogue in order to try and create such moments of "eureka!" in our students in a consistent and repeatable process. Our methods are not unique or ground-breaking. We are not pedagogues. We are tinkerers, makers, creative thinkers and designers, parents, students, teachers, and artists. We know what the joy of learning feels like, and we understand what skills we need to impart to our next generation, if they are to successfully navigate through the rest of the 21st century and its various, potential technological revolutions. More importantly, we like to have fun, and we put our students and our instructors front and center in everything we do - frameworks, pedagogy, trendy technology, and colorful plastic are all a very far second place.
