Founded in 1999, by architects Sundeep Gwash and Vishal Shah, THE FIRM is today renowned as a multi-disciplinary design practice that offers innovative and integrated architectural design consultancy services. The practice also provides specialized services to media facility industry in India as well as abroad, in association with Recording Architecture, London as a separate focus. In early 2008, the practice consolidated its global presence by establishing its first international office "THE FIRM ASSOCIATES UK LIMITED" at UNITED KINGDOM. The award-winning practice embeds Sustainability as an intrinsic part of its design philosophy. Its notable multi-category projects in India include Skywalks, the iconic Signature Tower, IGBC Pre-certified GREEN HOMES Orchid Villas, Award-winning Educational Training Centre (ETC) for special children, Yash Raj Film Studios (YRF), Prime Focus facilities and selective facilities at Doha, Moscow, London, Kiev and Istanbul amongst others. At THE FIRM, we understand the clients' vision, partner with them for their projects and deliver cost-effective design solutions; and we believe that Architecture is truly stirring the users' emotional response towards the spaces created. We realize that simply fulfilling the basic functional needs of a project often results in only mundane solutions. But including the more elusive and less utilitarian aspects, paves the way for higher architectural quality. Interestingly, THE FIRM has been pioneering in India for adopting BIM (building information model) and is proud to have it as its forte.
