Eko-Konnect is a collaboration between the Mono/Polytechnics, Colleges of Education, Universities and Research Institutes in the Lagos metropolis in Nigeria. Its main objective is the development of a high-speed communication network as part of wider efforts to establish ngREN, the Nigerian national research and education network. Eko-Konnect aims a) to provide a sustainable and high-speed Internet connectivity to research and educational institutions in the membership region and develop and improve their inter-connectivity with local and worldwide research and education networks. b) to provide related auxiliary services and develop the knowledge and skills of ICT practitioners in these institutions c) to facilitate electronic communication among beneficiaries in research and educational and institutions and support the sharing of teaching and learning resources d) to support teaching and learning over the internet for beneficiaries in educational institutions within and outside Lagos e) to collaborate in the development of relevant content of syllabi in educational Institutions f) to collaborate in research in educational and institutions
