What is Study Association KIC? KIC stands for ‘Keen in Communication’ and is one of the two study associations that are housed at the Institute for Communication, Media & IT of the Hanzehogeschool Groningen. The institute facilitates 4 bachelors: Communication, International Communication, Communication, Multimedia & Design and HBO-ICT. The last one is linked to Study Association ‘Realtime’. By organizing study-related activities as well as social activities, the study associations make sure that your student-era reaches further than just getting your grades. Examples of study-related activities are company-visits, lectures and symposia. KIC organizes social activities as well. For instance, every year a winter sports trip is organized, multiple theme-related parties are held and a prom is organized together with other study associations. Also, Study Association KIC has its own monthly drinks! Goal The goal of Study Association KIC is to combine the subjects and content of the main bachelors with other study-related and social activities. We do this by facilitating students, teachers and entrepreneurs the best we can. This way, we want to stimulate the integration between students, teachers and the work field. At Study Association KIC, we believe a good preparation, both formal and informal, is key to becoming a true communication professional.
