The Good Beginning is also an inspiration resource for couples and families trying to live a more socially conscious lifestyle. After spending 10 years in the luxury wedding industry working with affluent and high-profile clients, founder, Beth Helmstetter, used her MBA in nonprofit administration and her understanding of the bridal market to design a unique charitable platform. In addition to (or in lieu of) a traditional retail registry, couples can invite their guests to join them in supporting a worthy charity and start their marriage out with the ritual of generosity. Couples register for their wedding just like they would with a traditional ‘wish list’ by selecting an organization or by adding a new charity. From there, the couple is given a personal domain name to their registry that can be shared with guests. The clean and stylish interface invites visitors to browse their profile, learn more about various causes, and contribute easily.
