Life & Breath Foundation for Sarcoidosis
www.lifeandbreath.orgSarcoidosis is a debilitating and often fatal disease that causes tissue inflammation throughout the body. Over time, the disease leaves body tissues severely damaged and scarred causing shortness of breath, weight loss, fatigue, and fever for its victims. A disease in which the origin and cure are unknown, Sarcoidosis generally attacks the lungs, and remains the leading cause of chronic fibrotic lung disorders in America. Sarcoidosis can also attack the heart, liver, and brain, and is responsible for a high number of non-traumatic deaths in young adults. The Life and Breath Foundation, an organization that strives to find a cure for Sarcoidosis, was founded on the strength of Ida Hull, mother of Life and Breath's founder Sean Hull, and the thousands of people just like her who struggle every day - fighting an enemy that shows neither prejudice, nor mercy. The seriousness of this disease cannot be underestimated - nor our resolve in working toward a cure. With each dollar raised, we are given the opportunity to energize the spirit of each person struggling with this painful disease. Through your generous contributions, we will further fund the Johns Hopkins University Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and its staff members, who tirelessly work towards finding a cure. Together, we will succeed!
