Generation One is a lab school researching the effects that living in almost continuous stress has on cognitive development and ability to learn in children. Collaborating with UH-Downtown, UH-Clear Lake, and Texas Children’s Hospital, we are developing an evidence based, trauma and bereavement informed, social and emotionally influenced education model for early childhood. Our mission is to champion systemic change in the education system, with a vision to empower children to realize their fullest potential. Our goal is to create an equitable education landscape that allows for equal opportunity to learn and grow no matter what zip code a child lives in.
