According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 4.8 million Australians (20.1 per cent) have a mental disorder in 2017-2018 and this number is rising. The First Beer Club is a community project which aims to improve mental health outcomes, by reducing isolation and encouraging people to get off the couch, where they binge watch TV and interact with their virtual "friends" on social media. We support many local independent pubs and craft breweries, who are providing a platform for our members to meet up, enjoy each other's company and have authentic conversations with real people over a beer and a meal.
