The Hummingbirds was founded in June 2017 by two ex-advertising/media executives, Maree McDonough and Linda Robson, who spent 65 cumulative years in the industry at agencies including; Clemenger, J. Walter Thompson, Leo Burnett, Mindshare, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Starcom. They are skilled in a number of areas including; strategy, planning, buying and negotiations and have held various senior leadership positions in local and regional roles in Asia/Pacific. They worked together in the award-winning regional Learning and Development unit of GroupM Asia/Pacific where they co-created a bank of over 25 programmes including soft skills (coaching, communications, Creativity, and Leadership to name a few) as well as technical skills (agency frameworks, media, digital, and trading), These programmes have been delivered to participants from 13 countries across Asia/Pacific. 10 years of experience has culminated in the formation of their first solo venture, The Hummingbirds, based out of Sydney, Australia.
