Body Image Movement
www.bodyimagemovement.comFounded by Taryn Brumfitt, the Body Image Movement (BIM) is on a mission to end the global body-hating epidemic by inspiring people to embrace their bodies through documentaries, books, online programs, speaking and educational resources. BIM is an internationally recognised crusade that was founded on the belief that your body is not an ornament, it’s the vehicle to your dreams. We believe that everyone has the right to love and embrace their body, regardless of shape, size, ethnicity or ability. Our strength is taking evidence-based data from health professionals and turning it into content that is educational, inspirational, engaging and fun! Embrace, Taryn’s first documentary, was released in 2016 and fast became a must-view social change film viewed by millions of people globally. Securing the #1 spot in iTunes in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK and Ireland, the documentary also secured a 2-year global partnership with Netflix. We are currently working on our newest project, Embrace Kids. Aimed for 8 – 12 year olds, the documentary will address why body image has become a serious problem amongst children (70% of kids are dissatisfied with their bodies!) and will help foster a positive body image.
