SAIRA is a digital matchmaking platform that tackles the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. By bringing established experts together with upstart innovators, we are facilitating long-term initiatives that can improve millions of lives and sustain themselves over time. SAIRA is operated by the WAITRO Office Germany hosted by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Although some projects arise out of funder’s priorities (top-down), others are generated by local RTOs in search of solutions (bottom-up) – their perspective ensures that challenges are fully embraced by local communities, who have a strong hand in making them a reality. Because we recognize that economic incentives fuel ideas, our users are not required to surrender their intellectual property – if you bring an idea to the table, it remains yours. And to encourage the greatest amount of participation, SAIRA provides free access to WAITRO’s renowned global network of RTOs, so the best ideas can flourish and take flight.
