However, I have played other sports at a recreational level, such as tennis, rock climbing, long distance running and kayaking. I have also recently taken up CrossFit and have competed at some regional scaled competitions. As a trainee/volunteer Sport Psychologist, I have had the opportunity to work within many different sports, such as football, golf, volleyball, Canoeing and CrossFit. I have worked within professional sports teams and also youth development teams for British Canoeing. My philosophy is based around wellbeing. I believe that if an athlete's mental wellbeing is at a good level then performances will improve. Therefore, wellbeing is the foundation to which to build other skills around which will help with sporting performance.
