The District Council of the Copper Coast was formed in May 1997 with the amalgamation of the District Council of the Northern Yorke Peninsula and the Corporation of the Town of Wallaroo. In 2017, The District Council of the Copper Coast changed its name to ‘Copper Coast Council’ as it is currently known. The Head Office of the Council is located in Kadina, at 51 Taylor Street.
