York Archaeological Trust (YAT) is a self-funded educational Charity and a leading professional archaeological organisation operating throughout the UK. Founded in 1972, we have a reputation for delivering high quality investigation and research for a broad range of clients and partners. Through public, community and educational projects events, along with our world-class visitor attractions, we engage with over 1.2 million people each year from our offices in York, Glasgow, Sheffield and Nottingham. Our activities are broadly categorised into two separate brands to help us achieve our Charitable aims; York Archaeology and The JORVIK Group.
