The “World Patriarchal Maronite Foundation for Integral Development” is established by a decree, and pursuant to Canon No. 1047, Article 1, Clause 1, of the Code of Canon Laws of the Eastern Churches, as a pious independent institution subject to the Ecclesiastic Laws related to the temporal funds of the Church and religious waqef. This Foundation aims to launch social, economic and educational programs to promote the active Christian presence in Lebanon and in the Middle East within the principles, mechanisms, and organizational structure as determined by the constitutions and by-laws. The World Patriarchal Maronite Foundation for Integral Development (WPF) established the Community Employment Office as an initiative to respond to a current dire need which is a considerable unemployment rate, and that by securing private sector employment for Lebanese. The scope of WPF’s Community Employment Office revolves over 4 major principles: - Identifying job-seekers and providing assistance through one-to-one coaching sessions, career guidance and follow-up; - Identifying private-sector employers through networking and partnerships; - Connecting job-seekers to matching available job opportunities that correspond to their profile, needs and requirements and prepare them throughout the recruitment process; - Enlarging its database of both job seekers and private sector companies in order to maximize the profile/job matching opportunities.
