Vibrant. Inspiring. Exhilarating. The Australian New Goldberg Orchestra is Melbourne’s premier high-performing, independent, not-for-profit cultural youth ensemble. We have been challenging and nurturing players of all ages and backgrounds since 2012, providing musical development, education and performance opportunities locally and abroad. Originating as a touring orchestra, ANGO has performed in high profile concerts at Shanghai’s Music In the Summer Air Festival, the Beijing National Centre for Performing Arts, and participated in exchange programs with many schools and youth orchestras. In addition to performing and music training events with guest musicians and teachers, our members have savoured the broad and diverse cultural experiences afforded by interacting with a range of captivated overseas audiences, and bringing them great performances. ANGO presents a flagship concert season locally every year. Incorporating both challenging but brilliant masterworks of the symphonic repertoire and contemporary gems, we weave this into our dedication to grow talent, create greater opportunities for youth musicians and spread the beauty and joy of exhilarating music throughout the community.
