Opened in 2015, The Staley Museum features many aspects of the personal and professional life of Augustus Eugene Staley, the Staley family, and the Staley Mansion. A. E. Staley was the founder of the A. E. Staley Manufacturing Company which is now owned by Tate & Lyle. Mr. Staley was also the founder and original owner of the Decatur Staleys football team, which became the Chicago Staleys and later the Chicago Bears.
