The SOLUTION FOCUSED INSTITUTE OF SOUTH AFRICA is run by Dr Jacqui von Cziffra-Bergs and is an accredited CPD service provider, dedicated to skills-based comprehensive, interactive and world-class CPD training in Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to psychologists, counsellors, social workers and teachers. The Institute offers venue based Solution Focused CPD workshops as well as online Solution Focused CPD workshops. Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) is a brief, short-term therapeutic approach that utilizes the client’s strengths to empower the client; focuses on the client’s past successes and helps the client to move to where they want to be. Dr Jacqui von Cziffra-Bergs (B.Prim.Ed (UP), B.Ed (U.Stell), M.Ed Psych (RAU), D.Ed Psych (RAU)) is a psychotherapist and psychology CPD/CEU workshop facilitator in private practice in Johannesburg, South Africa. Dr Jacqui lectured as an associate professor at the University of Johannesburg for four years on therapeutic interventions to Master’s and Doctorate students. She was introduced to Solution Focused Therapy by attending workshops presented by Steve de Shazer and Yvonne Dolan in the United Sates, and more recently attended workshops by Dr Linda Metcalf, Chris Iveson and Dr Elliott Connie. Dr Jacqui has also lectured at The University of Texas in collaboration with Prof Cynthia Franklin. Dr Jacqui is the Director of the Solution Focused Institute of South Africa where she presents Solution Focused Therapy lectures and workshops. Dr Jacqui also presents for the Milton H. Erickson Institute of South Africa and the University of Johannesburg. Dr Jacqui writes and presents CPD/CEU psychology workshops for private practitioners accredited by the University of the Free State and the SACSSP.
