Welcome to Whitby Watch Co. Our goal is to design and build watches that boost and celebrate Canadian history and the individuals who represent what it means to be Canadian. Since the early 19th century, Whitby and its strategic harbour on the shores of Lake Ontario acted as a key port that connected the industrial towns of southern Ontario to the rich hinterland to the north. Throughout this period Whitby quickly became known for its craftsmanship in several disciplines. Horology, the study of observing time, was no exception as the Canada Clock Company made its home in Whitby operating from 1872-76. The Whitby Watch Company is the most recent incarnation of the skilled craftsmanship and attention to detail Whitby has been historically known for. Our mission: To celebrate Canadian excellence through the art of watchmaking. At Whitby Watch Company, we create unique limited edition timepieces designed to capture and honour historical moments of Canadian achievement and contribution to the free world.
