policylab.chop.eduThe mission of PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is to achieve optimal child health and well-being by informing program and policy changes through interdisciplinary research. Our work focuses on addressing the unique health needs of children of all ages, from infants to young adults. We work on a wide array of projects that fall into four large portfolios: • Health Care Coverage, Access & Quality • Intergenerational Family Services • Health Equity • Adolescent Health & Well-Being • Behavioral Health Visit our website (http://policylab.chop.edu/) for more information on our specific project topics. Our Process Founded in 2008, we research, develop and implement evidence-based solutions that are responsive to community needs and relevant to child health policy priorities. We collaborate with practitioners, families and policymakers throughout the research process because we know we cannot achieve improved child health outcomes by ourselves. And since research articles on their own are unlikely to produce change, we have a dedicated team of communications and policy professionals who work with our researchers to translate their work for a broad array of program and policy audiences. Over the next three years, we’ll be focusing on the evolution of our high-quality research and portfolios, supporting our talented research teams and ensuring we work alongside our partners to achieve our mission.
