OSI operates the oldest continuously operated business center under one ownership in Washington DC, having started under the corporation entitled Washington Office, Inc, in 1981. The company was initially organized to provide Washington support services for out-of-town attorneys, by C. Jack Pearce. Pearce is an antitrust attorney who had served in the United States Department of Justice and the White House Office of Consumer Affairs, before entering private practice. It soon became clear that the support services were useful for Washington Area attorneys as well as attorneys from more outside the area. Following this development, we conceived that the office on demand services were useful to a broad range of businesses and professions. As the OSI program expanded, we participated in the development of two full time office suites in the Farragutt North area of Washington's Central Business District. OSI and affiliates now provide over 100 office spaces to the Washington area's business and professional communities.
