The Centre for Healthy Communities works with our partners to address complex issues that impact community health, well-being and sustainability. We recognize that health and wellness are created outside of the health-care sector, so we work across sectors to focus on root causes, prevent illness and promote community health and equity. We collaborate with government, municipalities, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, community members and other academics to provide timely, evidence-informed solutions to help communities achieve their healthiest potential. We help our partners to mobilize their knowledge and share their healthy community-building experiences with others. Since the solutions for one community can be adapted to many, our work has both immediate and enduring impact on society.
