MISSION: Kids Caring Foundation provides a variety of programs and activities that enable and encourage children to become proactive in making the communities better in which they play, learn and live. PROGRAMS: Community Garden Project encourages and engages both novice and advanced volunteers of all ages. Our volunteers create and sustain a community garden that delivers fresh produce to the local food pantry, and provides local residents a place to learn about and enjoy nature. SPARC provides outreach to engage caregivers and encourage community members to become educated and involved with our youth to prevent substance abuse. The program in the Pitman Middle School educates and supports children helping them make better choices to build a drug free community. The SPARC 5k, an annual run provides vital funding for our activities, programs and events necessary to inspire, support and encourage our youth in the battle against substance abuse. TEAM 22q raises awareness, support and funding for 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome. 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome is a disorder caused by the deletion of a small piece of chromosome 22. The deletion occurs near the middle of the chromosome at a location designated q11.2. Team 22q supports athletes who participate in sporting events and hosts a walk / run for kids who raise money and awareness for 22q Deletion Syndrome. Youth Voice is a group of young leaders who gain a deeper understanding of their community’s needs by engaging in self-guided philanthropic efforts. Our youth participate in a variety of projects in a safe and positive environment, while promoting individual self-esteem and leadership through participation in meetings, organized events and community service projects.
