KiwiHarvest
www.kiwiharvest.org.nzAt KiwiHarvest we believe that every New Zealander, especially our most vulnerable children and families, should have access to fresh, nutritious food. New Zealand produces enough food to feed 20 million people, yet every day tonnes of food is thrown out and sent to landfill. Most of it perfectly edible. Our team at KiwiHarvest collects surplus food from all types of food providers including fruit and vegetable markets, supermarkets, hotels, wholesalers, farmers, stadiums, corporate events, catering companies, shopping centres, delis, cafes, restaurants, film and TV shoots and boardrooms and delivers this rescued food to community groups concentrating on supporting their local communities. The difference we can make, together with the support of our local businesses, adds up to some big changes helping to reduce the $872 million* worth of food thrown away each year in New Zealand. Find out more about how you or your business can help us champion this cause and improve our social and environmental well being at www.kiwiharvest.org.nz. * Love Food Hate Waste NZ, March 2015
