The Salt Lake County Auditor is an independently elected official. The office of the Salt Lake County Auditor consists of two divisions: Audit Services and Property Tax. The mission of the Audit Services Division is to foster informed decision making, strengthen the internal control environment, and improve operational efficiency and effectiveness for Salt Lake County, through independent and objective audits, analysis, communication, and training. The mission of the Property Tax Division is to provide professional property tax services as required by State law on behalf of the County, all local government entities, and the public in an efficient, effective, and transparent manner.
