PAREF Northfield School for Boys is an all-boys school in Quezon City that caters to all levels of basic education, i.e., Grades 1-12. At the heart of our brand of education is the formation of the entire human person--mind, heart, body, and soul. PAREF Schools are all-boys and all-girls schools, which are technically referred to as single-sex schools. Recent research in the United States and in Europe has shown the beneficial effects of single-sex schooling over coeducation. Since the brains of boys and girls are different and they learn differently, research has shown that it is best to teach them differently. Children from single-sex schools have been shown to score higher in academic tests and acquire better socio-emotional balance than children from coeducational settings. Single-sex schooling is now touted as one of the most progressive educational ideas for the twenty-first century. The PAREF Schools offer a personal and integral education to their students in close collaboration with the home. Each PAREF school aims to help raise students, through its unique mentoring program and in close collaboration with the parents, to become responsible persons capable of acting freely out of love for God and others. At the same time, PAREF education addresses the whole person, helping students reach the peak of academic excellence as they strive to grow in personal and civic virtue. PAREF Northfield’s Quezon City Campus, which offers Grades 1-12, is located along Scout Gandia St. corner Scout Torillo in Kamuning Quezon City. PAREF Northfield also has a second campus in Sun Valley Estates in Antipolo, which opened in 2014 and now offers Grades 1-5.
