Grand Avignon agglomeration was raised on January 1, 2001. It was created with a desire to design inter-municipal cooperation. Particularly in the following areas : economic development, transport, water and sanitation, collection, culture, environment, city policy... Grand Avignon is made up of 16 municipalities and is located in the delta of 3 departments. Joël Guin is the current President of the agglomeration, he is the 4th President since its creation.
