Procella Therapeutics was founded on the vision to make new, cell-based therapies for patients who are running out of options. In particular, Procella is focusing on stem cell treatments for patients with advanced heart failure. Procella’s technology is based on years of work at Harvard University and Karolinska Institute and has been shown in animals that unique and novel heart progenitor cells have the capability of creating new muscle in hearts damaged from a heart attack. To further develop this technology, Procella has signed a collaboration agreement with AstraZeneca and is driving towards first in human studies.
