Keegan & Co Family Lawyers is a boutique family law practice located in the heart of the Perth CBD in the historic Howard Chambers. We practice exclusively in family and divorce law. Our aim is to keep it simple, keep it cost effective, and achieve outstanding results for our clients. As a dedicated family law practice, we have substantial experience in handling simple parenting and property matters, as well as complex matters including international relocation, Hague convention matters, surrogacy and adoption as well as complex business and corporate structures in property settlement matters. Our Principal, Leah Keegan graduated from Murdoch University with a Bachelor of Laws and was subsequently admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia. Leah has been working almost exclusively in the area of Family Law since 2008, firstly as a paralegal and then as a lawyer following her admission in 2013. Leah’s experience is diverse. Prior to entering private practice, Leah worked at a Community Legal Centre where she gained experience in complex child related proceedings, particularly involving family and domestic violence and serious risk issues involving children. Leah often represented clients from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds which required her to adapt her approach and advice to ensure sensitivity, understanding while still providing sound legal advice. Leah’s grass roots background means she is passionate and dedicated to her pro bono work. Leah believes that legal services should be available for all people, and not just those who can afford it. Leah continues to volunteer her time at the Gosnells Community Legal Centre where she provides free legal advice. Leah also serves as the Chairperson of the Management Committee of the Gosnells Community Legal Centre. Leah is a member of the Law Society of Western Australia and the Family Law Practitioners Associations of Western Australia.
