OhioMed was created to offer patients with chronic medical conditions an option to manage pain and other symptoms caused by their condition. Medical Marijuana is a viable option for many patients who have typically managed their condition with standard medications such as narcotics, NSAIDS, muscle relaxers, etc. Patients are aware of the side effects of these medications and desire another safer option. I have personally recommended hundreds of patients for their medical marijuana card which gives them access to marijuana dispensaries to purchase products. Not one patient has informed me that they discontinued medical marijuana due to untoward side effects. All my patients express positive benefits from taking medical marijuana and many state they have been able to discontinue other medications such as narcotics and NSAIDS. There are over 750 stains of medical marijuana which can treat a variety of symptoms and can be tailored to each patient's needs. We at OhioMed want to expand access to medical marijuana for patients with a simple, streamlined process. During the Coronavirus pandemic, we can now offer telemedicine visits which makes the process even more convenient for patients.
