Academic Technology and Teaching Excellence Center (ATTECS) is an independent subscription-based virtual center that aims to provide on-demand consulting services to higher education faculty and administrators. Its target customer base is colleges that do not have their own centers for teaching and learning, those that would like to supplement existing services with a different set of skills (such as for a short-term project), as well as those looking to fill positions on a temporary basis, while looking for permanent staffing solutions. ATTECS draws from a large collaborative network of professionals - instructional designers, technologists, librarians and project managers (among many others), currently employed in various professional roles across higher education institutions in the US, to share expertise through consulting and professional development.
