The Graciella Initiative (TGI) is run by Team TGI, a team of young African advocates of the rights of girls in Africa. TGI is presently located within 8 countries of Africa and leverages on partnerships (SDG-17). We focus on the 4th and 5th sustainable development goals of the United Nations (Quality Education and Gender Equality respectively). ➡️OUR VISION : To give the African Girl a VOICE We do this through the following : 👉Yearly Girls Empowerment Series. We provide economic support and employment opportunities for young women. 👉Yearly Girl Child Conference. We have covered 4 geopolitical zones of Nigeria so far. We would be going to Zimbabwe in 2020. 👉Girl Power Club. Now established in 4 African countries. 👉GirlChild Education. We sponsor the education of girls in undeserved communities in the Northern part of Nigeria where child marriage is very high. This project started in 2019 as well. Two girls every year are put into school till they finish their secondary school education. 👉Textbook Donations and More 👉Project Girlducate. This involves partnering with Montessori schools in Ogun State to teach girls in underserved communities how to read, write, and prepare them to start Primary School.
