WIRE was founded in 2003 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The firm evolved over the years, the initial mandate was third-party verification in supply chain in the Middle East, Africa, the Levant, Asia, Far East and the CIS. This transitioned to consulting and training the Government in developing public policy for labour inspection based on ILO benchmarks with a special focus on migrant workers. The consulting and training work led to Accreditation auditing to evaluate social auditor competency for SA8000, BSCI amfori and more recently for schemes that Assurance Services International accredits to. WIRE's business streams have diversified to social auditing training, development of tailor-made social auditing procedures and special projects related to migrant worker recruitment and employment.
