As young people, we have grown up in a global society, lead by the older generations, that have shown their youth that they do not care about our planet or our future. We have grown up in a state that once cared for its land, but is now lead by legislators who value a dollar over clean water and fertile soil. Indigenous lands have been stripped of their resources and are being taken over by corporate entities. Communities of color, poor communities, and LGBTQ+ youth are all being put at higher risks of being exposed to air pollution, contaminated water, and more effects of climate change. We can not continue to ignore science, our planet lies in the balance.
