Responsibilities • Create packaging that promotes the brand and helps sell the product at the point of purchase • Balance functional considerations (material/printing costs, environmental concerns, minimize shipping of ‘air’, ease of opening, legal requirements) with compelling aesthetic design (target market styling, contemporary design, effective graphic communication) • Develop production ready examples and usable style guides for all product lines for use in packaging, sell sheets, DVDs and related needs • Research latest styling of competitive brands and techniques • Work closely with Art Directors, Graphic Design team, Sales and Marketing to make sure style guides fulfill each department’s requirements and fully implement approved style guides • Ensure company Brand and Packaging standards are met and maintained throughout all product lines • Closely follow development and marketing schedules to ensure timely preparation of all packaging and graphics needs Experience • 8 years experience in Graphic Design industry. • four-year degree in Graphic Design • Exceptional package design skills • Information Architecture • Style guides • Computer skills: Photoshop & Illustrator and Indesign master • Ability to mock up samples, render and create 3d models if necessary. • Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude and flexibility • Ability to work in extremely fast paced environment & meet deadlines • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi task
