The Athletes Village is a nonprofit working alongside passionate Silicon Valley Executives and the International Sports Community to build the largest global platform for elite athletes and sports experts to give back to the next generation of athletes, coaches and parents. We started out building a rudimentary online platform to connect elite athletes and the top sports experts (Parents of Elite Athletes, Coaches, Doctors, Physical Therapists, Nutritionists, Psychologists, etc.) with young athletes around the world to see if there was interest. In under 6 months we had over 400 pro athletes and sports experts from over 30 countries on the site (theathletesvillage.com). We're taking that experience and input from our Pro, Olympic and Paralympic athletes and building an APP to democratize access to the best training and competition knowledge across the planet as well as provide an easy platform for these elite athletes to inspire kids around the world!
