www.weartowall.comShelby Donnelly is a designer based in Philadelphia. In 2018 Donnelly launched Wear to Wall, customized garments for special occasions. Donnelly uses rare materials to fashion garments, collaging stories from literature, history, and everyday life. Wear to Wall garments are made with the intention that they will have second life as a textile artwork, framed for the wall. Each piece encourages the wearer "To be the Masterpiece" For over a decade, Donnelly has made multi-media artworks using screen printed and sewn textiles, garments, and objects that are contextualized within videos and installations. Her work incorporates dramas that come from observing humanity's relationship with ritual, ceremony, and spirituality and how that plays out in everyday existence. www.shelbydonnelly.com Donnelly worked at the Fabric Workshop and Museum for ten years and recently began teaching at Lincoln University and University of the Arts in the textile department. She brings to her garment design expertise in fabric-dying, screen-printing on fabric, and fabric sculptural construction. Donnelly received her M.F.A in Fiber and Materials Studies from Tyler School of Art and her B.F.A in Printmaking and Drawing from Washington University in St. Louis.
