The Canadian Health Care Academy (CHCA) has been operating since 1996. Canadian Health Care Academy (CHCA) offers education programs for Practical Nursing in both the generic and access. In addition, programs for Graduate Diploma in Nursing, Registered Nurse Licensure Preparation Program for Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing, Personal Support Worker Health Care Assistant, and Nursing Unit Clerk programs are also offered. CHCA located to the Surrey Campus since December 2016. Generic and Access programs are each offered four times per year. CHCA is Certified and Designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch, Ministry of the Advanced Education, Government of British Columbia. Canadian Health Care Academy is an accredited and EQA Designated College in BC. EQA is a quality assurance designation that identifies BC public and private post-secondary institutions that have met or exceeded provincial government recognized quality assurance standards and offer consumer protection. Canadian Health Care Academy is also a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) by the Citizenship & Immigration Canada to host international students.
