More than 90% of French people want to stay in their homes as they age, however only 6% of housing is adapted to the various challenges of aging well. Living in a suitable home is crucially important to a good later life, taking care of our home could translate in taking care of our health. We strongly believe than home adaptations are an effective intervention to improve health and wellbeing and reduce or delay people’s need for health and care services. Alogia’s ambition is to deliver better care at home through innovative services and a preventive approach to aging: care management (leveraging on therapist diagnostics) and home adaptions. The goal is to put in place preventive strategies to identify and support people who are at risk in their home environment with holistic, person-centred home quality and safety checks and subsequent delivery of repairs and adaptations. We work with many partners: housing associations, real estate agents, insurers and local boroughs. Our expertise comes from the day to day engagement we have with seniors and caregivers. More than 20,000 households have benefited from our solutions since we have started to operate in France. We are responsible for the coordination of more than 600 therapists across the country to conduct in house assessments. For the past 7 years, Alogia group, through partnerships, has helped professionals willing to structure their housing development while combining social impact.
