The Global Service Centres are a group of three sites (Krakow, Bangalore and Johannesburg) holding teams that provide client and business focused services and expertise. Each of us is part of the Global Service Centre and also part of our functional families. Whilst the idea of the Global Service Centres has been around for a while, IG formalised commitment to this approach just over 4 years ago by setting up the Krakow office and building out operations teams in India. The main goals were to accelerate the growth of the business through better standardisation and scalability, and improve access to sustainable pools of high quality talent. It’s been a great success and there is more and more work being trusted to the service centres – resulting in over 300% growth in employees in 4 years and the diverse careers, work and projects seen today. The future looks exciting as we continue to grow our capability to support IG’s growth strategy. The centres are made up of 53% Technology teams, 23% Operations teams, 9% Marketing teams, 9% Finance teams with the remainder made up of a number of business and client services teams.
