The Chiefs Rugby Club (formerly known as the Waikato Chiefs) are a professional rugby club based in Hamilton, New Zealand. Their primary home ground is FMG Stadium Waikato. The Gallagher Chiefs play in black, red and yellow coloured jerseys and the team competes in the Super Rugby competition known as the Investec Super Rugby competition. The Chiefs are one of the competition's five New Zealand sides. The Chiefs region is made up of the following provinces: Waikato, Taranaki, Counties-Manukau, Thames Valley, King Country and Bay of Plenty. The Gallagher Chiefs are the premiere team for the Chiefs organisation followed by our Taua Development pathways including the University of Waikato Chiefs Development team, the Chiefs U20, Chiefs U18 and Chiefs U17 programmes.
